A comment post today on http://www.obamacrimes.com/ made note of the fact there are fundamental beliefs even on the democrat side of the issue of Mr. Obama’s presidential eligibility questioning Mr. Obama’s motives in non-disclosure of his birth certificate. It is apparent that many people are beginning to ask questions and get on board as Americans and not Kool-Aid drinkers from one party or the other. This is refreshing and as an Independent, I personally welcome all who would join in the common cause to support our Constitution, Bill of Rights, and way of life.
This is a time when we need to get beyond our individual beliefs on individual issues and support the core foundations that bind us as a country! We are first and foremost Americans. We can discuss abortion rights, bailouts, taxes, welfare, education, and marriage rights for gays after we sort out the constitutional crisis that is before us. If our foundation is rocked as a country all other issues are meaningless. Mr. Obama, in a speech recently, made note of a quote from Abraham Lincoln, “A house divided against itself cannot stand”. I would offer a different quote from President Lincoln for consideration by Mr. Obama and would ask him to inspect his own character as to whether or not his upcoming presidency is legitimate. The quote is:

Who Received Your Vote and Why?
I had an interesting conversation last night with a family member regarding the presidential election. I will spare everyone the details and say that her vote was cast against John McCain and for Barack Obama. There was nothing informed about the vote. It was simply based along party lines with no regard for any position held by either candidate. In short, Obama was not Bush (Ooops…I meant McCain) and that is critical because evidently many Americans thought this was a race between Obama and Bush. Why is this so disturbing? It is disturbing because when broken down by issue this family member is pretty darn conservative. Unfortunately, she holds strong moral and personal opinions regarding responsibility, faith, and individual rights and she believes the Democratic Party supports her. She has no idea that you could count the number of democrats that can be called conservative on less than five fingers. She cast a completely uninformed vote based out of ignorance simply because she held an outdated definition and view of the democrats being for the little guy and she has no idea what type of person she helped to elect as the next president with a fully loaded legislature to support his every move.

The murder of children born from failed abortions because it negates the original decision of the mother to abort the child. It is shocking to think there are people who support a man for the highest office in the land who supports infanticide and yet there are. He opposed a bill to offer equal protection for newborns twice, but in America we are ok with that position? Evidently we are because Obama is the President Elect. I am fine with debating pro-life versus pro-choice, but pro-life versus pro-murder seems to be a position that is indefensible.
Redistribution of Wealth:
Let’s see if we can put Mr. Obama’s statements on this subject in terms that everyone can understand. Socialism, Communism, Karl Marx, Joseph Stalin, KGB (National Police Force the same is offered on the change.gov transition website for Mr. Obama) Adolph Hitler, Gestapo (National Police/Security Force the same is on the change.gov transition website for Mr. Obama), Benito Mussolini, Castro, Jim Jones (Jonestown)… Do I need to go on to make my point? Mr. Obama will also tax whomever at whatever rate to insure that his social agenda is realized. I will say it now for all those looking for that big tax cut for 95% of working Americans, don’t hold your breath because it is not coming!

This would be mine and yours, middle school aged children being required by federal law to serve with groups like ACORN. Yeah, great idea, but the votes were cast and this is our guy, farther left than any to come before him. The uninformed voted against Bush (Even though McCain was the senator running) for the purpose of change and change is exactly what we are going to see specific to higher taxes, bigger government, less personal freedoms.
Education:
Mr. Obama does not support school choice for American families, but he will send his children to private school. Way to lead by example Mr. President-Elect! What is this, the president-elect won’t send his children to public school, while the constituency he claims to represent has no other choice unless they make enough money to afford the type of school Mr. Obama would choose for his children?
Same-Sex Marriage:
Mr. Obama opposes a Constitutional Ban on Same-Sex Marriage. Barack Obama voted against the Federal Marriage Amendment in 2006 which would have defined marriage as between a man and a woman and prevented judicial extension of marriage-like rights to same-sex or other unmarried couples.
These are only a few areas of concern that my uniformed family members are willing to ignore and then by default they vote to agree to take a chance on this so called change that is offered by quickly offering this comment, “He (Obama) isn’t even in office yet. How will we know what he will do? At least he isn’t Bush!” You know what he will do in his new job by looking at his record (short as it is) from previous jobs held. He has never once voted to stop a tax increase. He has never voted once to lower taxes. Yet that is the platform he ran on and uninformed voters elected him. He supported infanticide twice (the murder of newborns), yet uninformed voters elected him. He wants to federally mandate community service for our children under the supervision of activist groups like ACORN and uninformed voters elected him. He supports the redistribution of wealth, which is a failed socialist principle by giving welfare to 46% of Americans that have no tax liability directly from the effort of those Americans carrying the tax burden for this country and yet uninformed voters elected him! The American electorate supports by majority a constitutional amendment defining marriage between a man and a woman, but Mr. Obama does not, yet the uninformed elected him. He supports the American electorate sending its children to a failing public school system, while he lavishes private schooling on his children, but the uninformed still elected him. He has a host of questionable associations with everything from domestic terrorists, to a black-theology racist minister, a radical Muslim Theologian, to Chicago criminals and yet the uninformed elected him!
It is clear that the American electorate is either stupid or has decided on a path of self-destruction. For those who made a uniformed vote, shame on all of you. For those who new what America was going to get, I can only hope you are all first to suffer under the foot of the federal government and that you all reap what you so richly deserve, servitude!

The Second Rise of Hitle...Oh Sorry, I Meant The Rise of Obama!

It has been four short days since the election and already we are receiving some insight into the next president's agenda. According to http://www.change.gov/ (the Obama transition web site), we are all in for some significant change. The type of change that includes a national security force that is as well funded as the U.S. Military (hmmm...does the word Gestapo sound familiar?), federal mandated community service for children from middle school age through college managed by community organization groups like ACORN (hmmm...anyone else in our not so distant past, say the early 1930's have a strong youth organization drive?), and mandatory, automated federal voter registration (states will no longer have this right, evidently). It sounds as if the federal government wants to control security, parenting, and the voting dynamics. What would be next a "Fairness Doctrine" that supports the idea of a "Thought Police"? It might also be suggested that a national security force would negate the need for Americans to keep and bear arms. No, this sounds like socialism bordering something worse, FASCISM! Remeber the mainstream media or national, state-sponsored news services in reality are already slanting the information you hear to support his agenda and the agenda of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid.
Chancellor Obama is going to require close scrutiny by patriots form all over this country. We cannot allow our personal freedoms to be stolen from us. A very intersting observation was made recently by a local radio personality and I am paraphrasing, but basically he said that new technology will allow Chancellor Obama to get his message out starting with the youngest most impressionable minds. That is how the Obama campaign was run and that is how he will continue to weave his way into the fabric of America. The man is an idealog and he is dangerous. Do not allow the same thing that happened in Germany in the thirties to happen here in America simply because we were not payning attention.

Now is The Time for All Good Patriots to come to the Aid of Their Country!
These are old words from a typing class, but more meaningful than ever. Now is certainly not the time for true patriots to abandon the cause! It simply means that we must try to understand what has happened and realign our efforts to fight a new enemy of the state. To effectively battle this new tyranny that starting January 20, 2009 will assault our personal freedoms, we must identify new ways to get our message out to real patriots that have traditional family values, believe in conservative economic principles, and unite them in an effort to spread the message that we are not going to go quietly away and become Western Europeans or worse 1932 Germany.
So what went right for Chancellor Obama? What did the liberals do to change the game? I think Dick Morris a Fox News contributor and former Clinton staffer defined it perfectly when he noted that the democrats registered more voters, stayed on message, and appealed to that part of the electorate more negatively impacted by the current U.S. economy. This group is represented by 18-22 year old students with no life experience, but polluted with the liberal agenda of our higher education institutions and tin-cup urbanites looking to steal more from the hard-working 54% of Americans that have legitimate federal tax liability. That said, who should the conservative party in America (be it republican or possibly called by another name) be courting with a new message? Well first the conservative movement in America needs to very quickly determine what that message is, because our current center-left group of conservative representatives has completely forgotten what their constituencies are in support of. What should be included in the list of conservative platform promises?
· Energy independence now through drilling here in America for oil and natural gas. Also the pursuit of clean-coal technology as well as an aggressive technology surge to deliver every type of alternative energy option available to America.
· A fair tax agenda that taxes equally across the board so that the loopholes in our current tax system can be removed. Continuing the practice of having 50% of the country support everyone else is pathetic and leads to class warfare attacks.
· Make it attractive for businesses to stay in America and create jobs by providing a level playing field with other countries regarding trade and taxes
· Provide a method for creating real healthcare for all Americans that does not have the idiotic federal government in control of the process as it is obvious if you look at the Department of Education, the Department of Transportation, the Internal Revenue Service, or any other federal organization, they have no clue what they are doing or how to run an organization efficiently.
Note: So if that is the case why in the world did we chose a liberal change where we are going to give them more of our money to waste!
· Protect the citizens from terrorists and enemies both external and internal to our borders. This means stopping illegal immigration and providing efficient paths for immigrants to pursue citizenship. It also means stopping the voting abuse and fraud of illegal’s in this country.
· Enforce the laws we currently have in place to protect our country from being overrun by illegal’s
· Insure that all Americans understand that our new conservative representatives are going to protect our rights under the fundamentally sound U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Unlike Chancellor Obama real conservatives do not for one moment believe that either of these documents is fundamentally flawed!
· Appoint qualified judges to the federal bench that believe in and will enforce the “Rule of Law”! It should never be alright with our representatives to appoint someone to the bench who operates under the idea that some people are not being treated fairly based on the color of their skin, their age, their economic position, or any other subjective process. The rule of law is the rule of law, it is objective period!
· Stop racial bias, discrimination, and preferences. America was designed to be a meritocracy. Start running this place based on merit and the cream will rise to the top, all others will not and should not be given preferential treatment. Let’s go with Dr. King on this one and judge people by the content of their character not by the color of their skin.
· Protect the life of all babies and children. Do not get bogged down in the liberal need to purchase votes from women by going to the extreme on the abortion debate. Chancellor Obama voted twice for infanticide! For God’s sake how many women support murdering babies? Make it clear where we stand on the principle of infanticide and do not be ashamed of it or subjective in the way you approach the debate. Call it what it is!
· Small Government, say it with me Small Government. The bigger the federal government gets the more of your hard earned money they will take, the more they will infringe upon your rights, the more they will play Peter Pan with the dollars you are saving for your family and the important things your family requires.
· Make it affordable for people to get an education. Education is the only path out of the lower to middle class. I do not mean to make it free, but make it affordable. People should have to work for what they receive, not ride on the backs of others like they do today in what has become an entitlement (tin-cup) American society.
· Use an old Special Forces Qualification Course saying by Colonel Bob Howard who would say, “We won’t do it for you, but we will do it with you”. In other words Mr. and Ms. New Washington Conservative Leadership, how about leading by example, clean up your house and show a little leadership for once if you want Americans to take you seriously.
If a new generation of conservatives can stand up and rally people to their cause based on ideals that promote hard work and self-reliance, then perhaps some of those standing around with their tin-cup out ready to take what they have not earned will see that there is real value in having a job, making their own way, promoting themselves up instead of waiting to be pulled up by the federal government only to slide back down because they have no pride in accomplishment. They will then find that they can make the quantum leap to an America that is merit based and willing to proudly accept them into the family of those who pay for government and out of the family that lives off government! They will not be Republicans or Democrats, they will become Conservatives.
As always feel free to offer dissenting opinion as I am very much agains the Firness Doctrine and very much for the First Amendment.

Truth in Advertising:
How do patriotic Americans define it compared to Mr. Obama?
Truth is an interesting concept. Politically speaking, Americans have come to accept truth as synonymous with compromise. We regularly elect representatives and presidents fully expecting them to do the bidding of their constituents in Washington D.C. and yet seldom are constituents represented well or are those representations truthfully reported. I am confused by the lack of understanding in the electorate regarding this issue. It is as if we stumble along blindly allowing our legislative and executive branches to mislead us with no consequences for their actions. No place is this more apparent than during the election process.
During the election process major swings in position occur and never challenged. Many in the electorate blame this on the reporting of the main stream media and while it is true that the media is corrupt and pathetic, it is actually the fault of every voter in this country. Every person in this country has a responsibility to critically examine the candidates and their records. One cannot accept at face value the reporting of any news source as legitimate without reviewing it for oneself through optional sources. Take the responsibility and be accountable for digging out the facts and then make an informed decision. Here are some reasons why it is important to do so:
- There is a major difference in the way a politician campaigns between attempting to secure his or her parties nomination and the way he or she will campaign during the general election. No value add coverage has been offered regarding the positions of Barack Obama during his run against Hillary Clinton and how he is running against John McCain and the positions during each timeframe have changed.
- There is also a major difference in the way someone campaigns and the way they govern. Bill Clinton ran as a moderate and then after election raised taxes and even implemented a retro-active tax hike (the first one in history).
- Each candidate actually has a record of voting activity to review. In a quote from Barack Obama himself he said, "I am new enough on the national political stage to serve as a blank screen on which people of vastly different political stripes project their own views. As such I am bound to disappoint some, if not all of them." In a response to the Australian News an online newspaper Shelby Steele said of the quote, “Yes, he is a blank screen, he's mastered that. But again, that makes my point. As a sort of nice black fellow, well-spoken, articulate, clearly intelligent, but yet undefined. No one really knows who he is, no one knows what his deep convictions are, what his passions are. No one knows what direction he'll really go in when power comes to him. As I say, he's guaranteed to disappoint people.” The fact is however, that we do know much about him if we take time to search out the truth and facts of his associations and voting record. Let’s look at the positions this man has held on important issues.
What positions has Obama held on the important issues of the day? Reported by news organizations like Fox News, but ignored by all other major print and television media, Barack Obama has managed to be untruthful to the American people. He has been unchallenged and when challenged has shrugged off the challenges knowing full well the issue will either not be reported or will be reported as right-wing ranting from extremists. So let’s take a look and see how truthful Mr. Obama has been:
- Barack Obama with the help of Planned Parenthood has voted for infanticide twice in the Illinois Legislature. IT is reported as voting present, but what most do not know is voting present in the Illinois Legislature is a no vote because only yes votes are counted. Mr. Obama worked with Planned Parenthood to vote in a way that would allow him to skirt the issue and be untruthful with the American people regarding his true position regarding abortion.
- According to World Net Daily: Seven years before Barack Obama's "spread the wealth" comment to Joe the Plumber became a GOP campaign theme, the Democratic presidential candidate said in a radio interview the U.S. has suffered from a fundamentally flawed Constitution that does not mandate or allow for redistribution of wealth. In a newly unearthed tape, Obama is heard telling Chicago's public station WBEZ-FM in 2001 that "redistributive change" is needed, pointing to what he regarded as a failure of the U.S. Supreme Court under Chief Justice Earl Warren in its rulings on civil rights issues in the 1960s. The Warren court, he said, failed to "break free from the essential constraints" in the U.S. Constitution and launch a major redistribution of wealth. But Obama, then an Illinois state lawmaker, said the legislative branch of government, rather than the courts, probably was the ideal avenue for accomplishing that goal. So according to Mr. Obama the Constitution of the United States is fundamentally flawed? Socialism and the redistribution of wealth is the direction we should take?

How committed to energy independence is Mr. Obama? Again Mr. Obama’s voting record reveals him to be the exact opposite of the man he is campaigning as! - So now we come to his associations. Associations that those that support him say are irrelevant, but how is Mr. Blank Screen supposed to be judged if we have no information specific to the type of man he really is? Father Pfleger, Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers and his wife Miss Dorn, Luis Farakhan, Tony Resko, and now Rhashid Khalidi, are all of these relationships simply described as having been chance alone? I would argue that Mr. Obama has used these relationships for two reasons, even though now as the general election approaches he must distance himself from them to seem like a moderate, and the reasons are that he needed them to have a radical Chicago foundation for his political career as well as the fact that through his actions he has demonstrated a desire to follow in radical left-wing political tracks. He has lied about his relationships and no one in this electorate has bothered to call him out or pursue him to a legitimate response. Joe the Plummer has been vetted more by voters and main stream media than has Mr. Obama! So what are the truths we know will impact us after the liberals buy themselves the presidency (Mr. Obama is into it to the tune almost 1 Billion unaccounted for dollars).
- First the Fairness Doctrine which will limit free speech guaranteed by the 1st Amendment and the liberals are already starting the process to remove talk radio from the airwaves
- Limiting Americans right to keep and bear arms guaranteed by the 2nd Amendment. Gun legislation is coming fats and furious. Purchase now before we become Europe.
- No secret union balloting (The Employee Free Choice Act – a very deceptive name indeed or The Card Check Bill), let’s see what it actually does according to uschamber.com:

It is apparent to me that we have abandoned principles that good Americans have fought so hard to secure. The electorate in the United States is filled with pathetic, entitlement driven people of weak character or those that support them. No critical thought is performed to arrive at the truth and most turn from the truth because they are afraid to face the reality that they are actually the problem. From college age children (and that is what they are, children) to illegal immigrants, and everyone in between that live off the backs of the 54% of Americans that shoulder the tax burden shame on you for not recognizing Barack Obama for what he really is, a domestic enemy of the U.S. Constitution. The truth hurts, but in the end to patriotic Americans the truth is the truth and a lie is a lie. There is no gray area, but to politicians like Barack Obama. Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid there is always something that can be compromised. There is nothing worth standing strong for unless it benefits them politically. Let’s also be fair and say that there are Republicans that are cut from the same cloth and all of them regardless of party affiliation should be ashamed at how they manipulate circumstances in their favor and then present it as the truth to Americans that are guilty of not taking the time to educate themselves on how this government and economy actually work. Many of the everyday people in the electorate are uneducated buffoons that will gobble up everything presented to them by mainstream media as fact with no regard for how their selfish behavior will adversely affect this country.
So in conclusion, what is the truth regarding the policies of the left and Mr. Obama? Where will this election take this once great nation? Are any parts of the electorate prepared to stand up and make a pro-individual rights statement or will we stand by and be lied to and just accept it as compromise that must be made? Just the other day, I told a friend of mine that was joining the armed services that after all my time in service; I could not in good faith recommend he make the same sacrifice. Why not was the response? I then responded with the saddest words I have ever said, “Because this country and the people who live here simply are not worth it.” In the end we all get exactly what we deserve. I can only hope now that a miracle will occur to keep our country out of the hands of those who would destroy it.
How do patriotic Americans define it compared to Mr. Obama?
Truth is an interesting concept. Politically speaking, Americans have come to accept truth as synonymous with compromise. We regularly elect representatives and presidents fully expecting them to do the bidding of their constituents in Washington D.C. and yet seldom are constituents represented well or are those representations truthfully reported. I am confused by the lack of understanding in the electorate regarding this issue. It is as if we stumble along blindly allowing our legislative and executive branches to mislead us with no consequences for their actions. No place is this more apparent than during the election process.
During the election process major swings in position occur and never challenged. Many in the electorate blame this on the reporting of the main stream media and while it is true that the media is corrupt and pathetic, it is actually the fault of every voter in this country. Every person in this country has a responsibility to critically examine the candidates and their records. One cannot accept at face value the reporting of any news source as legitimate without reviewing it for oneself through optional sources. Take the responsibility and be accountable for digging out the facts and then make an informed decision. Here are some reasons why it is important to do so:
- There is a major difference in the way a politician campaigns between attempting to secure his or her parties nomination and the way he or she will campaign during the general election. No value add coverage has been offered regarding the positions of Barack Obama during his run against Hillary Clinton and how he is running against John McCain and the positions during each timeframe have changed.
- There is also a major difference in the way someone campaigns and the way they govern. Bill Clinton ran as a moderate and then after election raised taxes and even implemented a retro-active tax hike (the first one in history).
- Each candidate actually has a record of voting activity to review. In a quote from Barack Obama himself he said, "I am new enough on the national political stage to serve as a blank screen on which people of vastly different political stripes project their own views. As such I am bound to disappoint some, if not all of them." In a response to the Australian News an online newspaper Shelby Steele said of the quote, “Yes, he is a blank screen, he's mastered that. But again, that makes my point. As a sort of nice black fellow, well-spoken, articulate, clearly intelligent, but yet undefined. No one really knows who he is, no one knows what his deep convictions are, what his passions are. No one knows what direction he'll really go in when power comes to him. As I say, he's guaranteed to disappoint people.” The fact is however, that we do know much about him if we take time to search out the truth and facts of his associations and voting record. Let’s look at the positions this man has held on important issues.

Reported by news organizations like Fox News, but ignored by all other major print and television media, Barack Obama has managed to be untruthful to the American people. He has been unchallenged and when challenged has shrugged off the challenges knowing full well the issue will either not be reported or will be reported as right-wing ranting from extremists. So let’s take a look and see how truthful Mr. Obama has been:
- Barack Obama with the help of Planned Parenthood has voted for infanticide twice in the Illinois Legislature. IT is reported as voting present, but what most do not know is voting present in the Illinois Legislature is a no vote because only yes votes are counted. Mr. Obama worked with Planned Parenthood to vote in a way that would allow him to skirt the issue and be untruthful with the American people regarding his true position regarding abortion.
- According to World Net Daily: Seven years before Barack Obama's "spread the wealth" comment to Joe the Plumber became a GOP campaign theme, the Democratic presidential candidate said in a radio interview the U.S. has suffered from a fundamentally flawed Constitution that does not mandate or allow for redistribution of wealth. In a newly unearthed tape, Obama is heard telling Chicago's public station WBEZ-FM in 2001 that "redistributive change" is needed, pointing to what he regarded as a failure of the U.S. Supreme Court under Chief Justice Earl Warren in its rulings on civil rights issues in the 1960s. The Warren court, he said, failed to "break free from the essential constraints" in the U.S. Constitution and launch a major redistribution of wealth. But Obama, then an Illinois state lawmaker, said the legislative branch of government, rather than the courts, probably was the ideal avenue for accomplishing that goal. America a Constitutional Republic Built and Supported on Ideals: Defended by Men and Women of Character
How is it that America manages to hold together so many different cultures and classes without major issue? The answer is simple, the “U.S Constitution”, the “Bill of Rights”, and the “Rule of Law”. It isn’t the Democratic Party or the Republican Party, but the belief that there is an idea that is larger than us all. Today, too many weak, pathetic, compromising, progressives cannot begin to know the idea that was tempered at Bunker Hill, tested in the snow at Valley Forge, and sacrificed so many on the battlefield at Guilford County Courthouse, by men who understood and believed in nothing more than free men should be free! When the three pillars of our society have been degraded by progressive values, nothing will stand between America and anarchy. I hope no one is surprised, when it happens.
I recently read an email response to my blog stating how perhaps a new direction is required because times are hard and Republicans have messed everything up to the point that maybe a new path is justified. This email came from someone who obviously is concerned about the welfare of himself and those in his family, but has obviously never had to sacrifice beyond those needs. Fortunately, for me I have served in the U. S. Army and I actually know what hard times look like and to take a path that decays the three critical pillars that our country is built upon for self-preservation is not a new direction, it is a flawed direction. Fundamentally, I believe that those who have never stood in harms way to protect an idea or a belief, are not fully qualified to understand what sacrifice to an idea means. Am I saying that a person having failed to serve their country in the military is not qualified for political office? No, I am not. However, I believe the electorate should look hard and critically at someone who has never had to sacrifice anything except for his own political or financial gain. Some may feel I am being too harsh, if so then I recommend you search your hearts and decide if you have done everything within your power to preserve this great country other than those things that benefit only you. I would ask before you take umbrage at the sacrifice and beliefs of those men and women that have selflessly served their country in harms way believing in an idea, to review your resume and find what you have done to support the foundation of this country. If you find yourself lacking, then do something on November 4th by saying no to the socialist agenda from the left.

A Great Blog Entry from the LA Times
Thanks C Lozano for saying it so well.
Isn't it interesting how the MSM loves to focus on how much money each candidate has to spend, instead of on the fact that McCain kept his financing pledge to limit himself to $84 million, while Obama shows the true spending nature of the Democrats! Our national housing crisis and Wall Street bailout rescue plan totals about $700 million, and Obama has easily gotten $600 million to spend on campaign! He and his donors could have helped bail out Wall Street and save people's homes from foreclosure with that kind of money. It's obscene. It also leads questioning minds to wonder just how much has been coming from overseas and from which countries and which individuals. And since when is spending money as fast as you can an admirable trait? Obama is revealing some interesting things about himself and being true to Democrat form. McCain has shown financial responsibility and spending restraint. I tend to believe he'd work to have a Congress that would do the same. His words and his actions are congruent. Pity the same cannot be said for Obama.
And if Obama seriously thought that by getting Colin Powell to publicly endorse him that he'd get an automatic 'thumbs up' vote from Conservatives and Republicans across the board, he was sorely mistaken. I make the distinction between both men. Powell is Powell, and Obama is Obama. The two men are NOT interchangeable. Speaking for myself, it was a nice try, but no cigar, Obama. You can link yourself to as many powerful and wealthy people as possible, but none of that impresses me nor will it 'buy' my vote. It's a sad day indeed when $600 million is the price tag for buying oneself a presidency and an all-access card into the White House.
People can label me whatever they want. If the price for questioning your lack of experience, lack of honor in knocking Alice Palmer off the ballot in 1996, lack of full disclosure to the public about the true nature of your connections to Rezko, Reverend Wright and Ayers, along with the fact that it was old school politics and the Chicago Political Machine which got you where you are today is that I will be labeled a racist, then so be it. I know who and what I am, and what I'm not. Skin color doesn't determine my vote. Experience and some degree of strength of character, along with some degree of honesty about ones past, means more to me than good looks, charisma, verbal eloquence and a good speaking voice. You're a smooth politician through and through, Senator Obama. I firmly believe you will place your own personal ambition before the needs of this country, and you'll talk your way - and spend your way - right into the White House. I'm being proven right day after day.
Welcome to the USSA: The United Socialist States of America. Perhaps if you use your charm, speaking skills and desire to be universally popular, your negotiations with potential terrorists around the world, executed without preconditions, will spare us another September 11th. Please try not to sacrifice too many of our Constitutional rights or Bill of Rights in order to appease our world neighbors.
My personal view is that if the rest of the world doesn't care for how we in America live, our values, our religious and political beliefs - in all their colorful and radiant glory - then tough you-know-what. I don't see any other countries around the world asking us Americans how we'd like them to live, or whom we'd like them to elect. My guess is that they really want YOU because they've got their own special interests and hidden agendas, and you're just the kind of inexperienced yet highly ambitious politician who'll play right into their hands. Since they've probably already contributed mightily to your campaign, your presidency is basically bought and paid for - in more ways than one.
